چکیده
Background/Aim: Inflammatory processes are often implicated in oncology, and inflammatory markers indices have been much studied this context. In gynecological surgery, frozen sections proven valuable decision-making. Here we aim to identify laboratory parameters that correlate with section results thus develop new neoplastic Methods: retrospective cross-sectional study at Bursa Yüksek İhtisas Training Research Hospital, evaluated 139 patients diagnosed adnexal mass endometrial intraepithelial neoplasia. We divided the whose were reported as malignant, borderline, or benign into three groups compared pre-operative complete blood parameters. Results: The mean age of our was 57.3 (11.5) years, reports 33 (23.7%), borderline 43 (30.9%), malignant 63 (45.3%) patients. corpuscular volume platelet values were different, difference significant between post-hoc analyses (P = 0.04 P 0.03, respectively). While percentage lymphocytes lower groups, neutrophils higher 0.01 According analysis, differs 0.05). lymphocyte benign-borderline benign-malignant 0.02, 0.05; neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio other two 0.02). used Multi Linear Regression Analysis method analyze factors play a role predicting outcome malignant. Accordingly, model best performance percentage, ratio, Ca-125 0.03). Conclusion: This indicates may give clue about character before oncology surgery. Thus, can make contributions surgical clinical approach literature by developing malignancy indices.

Accuracy of Frozen Sections
Background and Objective: Intraoperative consultation by frozen section is a high – risk procedure with important consequences. Therefore, it is critical to determine efficiency of frozen section performance periodically. This study was performed to determine the accuracy of frozen section in Urmia University of Medical Sciences. Materials & Methods:Inthis cross sectional study, we compared th...
متن کاملUltrathin Frozen Sections
A relatively simple method for obtaining ultrathin, frozen sections for electron microscopy has been developed. Tissues, cultured cells, and bacteria may be employed. They are fixed in 1.25-4% glutaraldehyde for 1-4 hr, are washed overnight in buffer at 3 degrees C, and are embedded in 20% thiolated gelatin or pure gelatin. Before sectioning they are partially dehydrated in 50% glycerol, frozen...

متن کاملSentinel lymph node mapping in gynecological oncology
The intraoperative mapping of sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) is part of the treatment strategy for a number of types of tumor. To retrospectively compare results from the mapping of pelvic SLNs for gynecological oncology, using distinct dyes, the present review was conducted to determine the clinical significance of SLN mapping for gynecological oncology. In addition, the present study aimed at id...
